    BACKGROUND: This head was original to a
    Palisades Park NJ fiberglass Tumba dating from the early to mid-70's (photo of the head on the original Tumba is labeled 'Drum not for sale'). I owned this drum until recently but sold it with a synthetic head and this original hide head is for sale.
    As you know, t
    he damped yet musical sound of these early heads is important to that Palisades Park era drums tonal character.
    CONDITION: the hide is thinned-out some at the crown but plenty of life left, you'll notice in the photo of the original PP drum that there is plenty of thread left for tensioning on the lug bolts and the head is tensioned-up for playing in that photo.
    SHIPPING: head will be packed using the conga head box in photo (box is like new, very sturdy).
