The Meinl Artist Series Luis Conte signature bongo drums are a great complement to any percussion setup. Their drum shells are made of wood from rubber trees and are adorned with True Skin cowhide heads that deliver great feel and warm tones. The Meinl bongos also feature black powder-coated traditional style hardware and a natural finish. Its traditional style woodblock connection between the 2 shells is what Luis Conte prefers on his bongo drums.
Grammy-winner Luis Conte is an acknowledged master of percussion. His celebrated drumming career includes touring and/or recording with some of the greatest names in contemporary music, including Madonna, Eric Clapton, James Taylor, Santana, Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand, Backstreet Boys, Ray Charles, and Cuban legends Arturo Sandoval and Cachao.
