LETTER MYSTIC SEAPORT RE BOOKS ON TITANIC MENTIONS LIGHTOLLER WHITE STAR LINE

Typed letter on MYSTIC SEAPORT ~ Marine Historical Association, Inc ~ Mystic, Connecticut letterhead signed by the Association’s librarian.  It is dated July 3, 1953 and replies to an inquiry concerning information contained in the library concerning the loss of the steamship Titanic in 1912. (Interestingly, the movie “Titanic” starring Barbara Stanwyck and Clifton Webb had just been released in April 1953). The letter refers to the obituary of Titanic’s Second Officer Lightoller, and the Cunard-White Star offices at 25 Broadway in New York City.
