    LADY "LUCILLE" DUFF GORDON AND HER HUSBAND COSMO, WERE THE SUBJECT OF GREAT CONTROVERSY IN THE AFTERMATH OF THE  SINKING OF RMS TITANIC. THE GORDONS WERE ACCUSED OF HAVING BRIBED SEAMEN IN LIFEBOAT # 1 NOT TO GO BACK TO THE SITE OF THE SINKING TO PICK UP SURVIVORS.
    THIS LISTING IS FOR A NICE REPRINT REPLICA OF A LETTER SENT BY LADY DEUFF GORDON TO A FRIEND, COMPALING HOW BADLY THAT THEY WERE TREATED IN ENGLAND ( AT THE INQUIRY).
    Lucy’s letter reads, in full, “How kind of you to send me a cable of sympathy from New York on our safety. According to the way we’ve been treated by England on our return we didn’t seem to have done the right thing in being saved at all!!!! Isn’t it disgraceful.”
    IT IS DATED MAY 27 1912, SO IT IS JUST ONE MONTH FROM THE SINKING.
