Franciscan Gladding McBean Gravy Boat With Attached Underplate Oasis Speckled
For consideration is this vintage gravy boat with an attached underplate made by Franciscan Gladding McBean in the U.S.A., starting in 1954 in their Oasis pattern. Oasis is described as blue and gray shaded lines with stars and this is hand painted on a speckled creamy white background.
This gravy boat with attached underplate measures 4½ inches tall, the mouth measures 3½ inches in diameter, 4½ inches from spout to where a handle would be, the attached underplate
measures 7 ½ inches long by 6 ¼ inches wide and the base measures 5 inches long by 4 inches wide. The base is marked with the round or circular mark which reads “Franciscan Hand Decorated Oven-Safe” and inside that reads “Made In California U.S.A.” and “Gladding McBean & Co.”. This mark was used between 1953 and 1958. There are no nicks, chips, cracks, repairs, scratches, discoloration or crazing noted. There is no ladle. This is in beautiful vintage condition.
